The Danish Board of Psychological Practice (Psykolognaevnet) is established according to Act No. 494 of June 30, 1993, the act on the rights and duties of psychologists, as amended by Act. No. 132 of February, 27, 2004. The Danish Board of Psychological Practice is organized within the framework of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Social Welfare, but is an independent organization. The decisions of the Board cannot be appealed to any other administrative authority. The duties of the Board. The act regarding psychologists states that the following are among duties of the Board. - The Board grants authorization to psychologists who have fulfilled the requirements of the theoretical and the practical education. - The Board supervises the work of all authorized psychologists. - The Board supervises the advertising of all psychologists. - The Board acts as the competent authority in Denmark for psychologists as regards to the recognition of education received in other EEC countries, as described in the EEC "Your Europe" Factsheets.
